The short version: we collect your name, contact details, address and vehicle details so we can quote for work, turn up at the right place and invoice you afterwards. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't send marketing unless you ask for it.

Who we are

AMP Detailers is a sole trader business owned and operated by Daniel Lombaard. For data protection purposes, Daniel Lombaard is the data controller.

What we collect

When you send a booking request or get in touch, we collect:

We may also take photographs of your vehicle before and after the work. These are used for our own quality records. We will only publish a photograph of your vehicle on our website or social media if you have told us we can, and we will never publish your registration plate without asking first.

Why we're allowed to hold it

How the booking form works

The booking tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere until you press the final button, which opens either your own email app or WhatsApp with the details filled in — you choose whether to send it. That means the information reaches us through your email provider or through WhatsApp, and their own privacy terms apply to that transfer.

Payments

Card and contactless payments are taken through SumUp, a regulated payment provider. Your card details go directly to SumUp and are never seen or stored by us. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the last four digits of the card and a transaction reference, which appear on your invoice. SumUp's own privacy policy governs how they handle your card data.

Who else sees your information

We don't sell or rent your details, and we don't share them for marketing. Your information is only handled by:

Cookies and this website

This site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics script running. Nothing you enter into the booking tool is stored in your browser between visits.

Two external services are loaded to make the page look right: Google Fonts supplies the typeface, and Unsplash supplies some of the photography. Loading these means your browser sends a request to those services, which will include your IP address. Neither is used to track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or provide it in a portable format. You can also object to us holding it on legitimate-interest grounds. Email cleckzybusiness@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month. There is no charge.

Note that we can't delete invoices we're legally required to keep for tax purposes, but we can delete everything else.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of this page.
